Flint and Steel Award 2011 Nominations Call
Do you know someone who voluntarily devoted his/her time and energy to publicly beneficial activities?
You can nominate volunteers for the
"Flint and Steel Award 2011"
The award for ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
11th year of this award runs in 2011.
Send the nomination of volunteers who are active in the City of Prague no later than 30th January 2012 to our address Hestia, Na Porici 12, 110 00 Prague 1, or e-mail: michaela.jandova@hest.cz, fax: 224 872 076
The Nomination should contain following:
- Personal data and contacts of the candidate,
- Description of activities of the candidate and reasons for his/her nominating,
- Brief characteristic and contacts of the proposer (organization or person).
Recommendation for the proposer:
-State the length of volunteer activity of the candidate;
-Describe detailed content of his/her volunteer activity;
-State something extraordinary- interesting target group, creative ideas, unusual activity…
-Describe the role of volunteer activity in the context of the candidate´s life, profession or study and from the point of view of its benefits for the organization or community, where the volunteer works.
-It is necessary to add the candidate´s consent with publishing his/her name and reasons of nomination.
The Flint and Steel Award 2011 ceremony will be held in the first quarter of 2012.
If you would like to nominate someone from other cities and regions, tell us, we can give you contacts to local Volunteer Centres, where the Flint and Steel Award is celebrated, too.
